Hi guys! It´s me again. I completed Lesson 4 and 5 this morning. The first was very intructive because it helped me to practice Math words that are frequently used in my classroom. I even made a new word, sort, which means "ordenar" in Spanish.
Also , in this lesson, was a very funny educational activity; I mean World-O-Rama, where the words of the lesson were associated with its definition and context.
Lesson 5 was interesting. It was about homophones, words that are phonetically similar but with differences in their writing and meaning.
Also I learned two new words: hole (agujero) and whole (todo). That´s why I looked for a list of homophones words that are widely used in English.
ate(comió)-eight(ocho) be(ser/estar)-bee(abeja)
blew(sopló)-blue(azul) brake(freno)-break(rotura)
buy(comprar)-by(por) dye(tinte)- die(morir)
fair(feria)- fire(fuego) heal(sanar)-heel(tacón)
hear(escuchar)-here(aquí) knew(sabía)-new(nuevo)
mail(correo)-male(masculino) peace(paz)-piece(pieza)
pray(orar)-prey(presa) reel(carrete)-real(real)
sail(vela)-sale(venta) sea(mar)-see(ver)
stair(escalera)-stare(mirar) steal(robar)-steel(acero)
waist(cintura)-waste(residuos) week(semana)-weak(débil)
I hope you find it useful. So, see you tomorrow!!!!!
